Objective:

The objective of the training programme was to equip students with essential skills in video capturing and editing using the InShot mobile application. This session was designed to light the spark of digital creativity and enhance technical proficiency in the realm of multimedia presentation.

Programme Overview:

The Department of Secretarial Practice, under the leadership of Prof. Hemalatha (Head of Department) and Prof. Ranjini M (Department of Secretarial Practice), who played pivotal roles in organising the programme, hosted this enlightening session.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Praveen Kumar K.C., Principal of Besant Women’s College, who stressed the significance of creativity and technological competence as the compass guiding students through today’s academic and professional landscapes.

Prof. Hemalatha hosted the programme, and the resource person, Ms. Deeksha, guided the participants through the key features and uses of the InShot application. She highlighted the importance of video editing as a brushstroke in the canvas of modern-day communication and presentations.

In attendance were Prof. Preetha Bhandary (Dean of Languages), along with her junior faculty members, Prof. Girish and Prof. Jincy Thomas. Additionally, Prof. Latha Hebbar from the Commerce Department was present, adding academic significance to the programme with their support and encouragement.

Outcome:

Skill Development: Participants gained practical knowledge of video editing using the InShot app, enhancing their multimedia presentation abilities and sharpening their digital tools.

Creativity Enhancement: The session promoted creative thinking, allowing students to engage in innovative ways of presenting information, transforming ideas into vibrant visual narratives.
