Visit to Barkur the ancient capital of the Alupa Kingdom-History

On March 30th, 2018, students of History made a visit to Barkur the ancient capital of the Alupa Kingdom. The rulers were known as Tulu kings or rulers. Barkur is a cluster of three villages, Hosala, Hanehalli, and Kachoor, in the Udupi district of Karnataka state in India. The place is located on the bank of River Seetha.
