Visit to Barkur the ancient capital of the Alupa Kingdom-History

On March 30th, 2018, students of History made a visit to Barkur the ancient capital of the Alupa Kingdom. The rulers were known as Tulu kings or rulers. Barkur is a cluster of three villages, Hosala, Hanehalli, and Kachoor, in the Udupi district of Karnataka state in India. The place is located on the bank of River Seetha. It is also called as village of temples.
