Lecture cum workshop “Press for Progress” on International Women’s day
Department of Sociology organized a lecture cum workshop“Press for Progress” on International Women’s day on March 8th 2018as a part of celebration of womanhood. Students of the college activelyparticipated in the programme. As a part of Celebration of womanhood a messagecampaign was organized by the Department.
The programme was organized in collaboration with Departmentof Social Work(MSW), Roshni Nilaya, Mangalore. Prof Asha Lobo, assistantprofessor HRM was the resource person. Students of the HRM, Masters in Social Work,School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya conducted the workshop on women empowerment. Sri Devanand Pai,correspondent Besant Women’s College conveyed his greetings, Sri Sathish KumarShetty P, Principal conveyed his message in the formal function, Ms. ShirlyRani, HoD of Sociology. Mr. Amith S. M Lecturer, Department of sociology were present during the occasion.
