‘Cloth Bag making’ competition: Innovation Club

The Innovation Club organized ‘Cloth Bag Making’ competition on 25th July 2022 in the college auditorium. Students from 16 classes participated in the competition. They displayed large number of cloth bags stitched by them, with slogans related to environmental protection and plastic ban. Students exhibited their creativity and artistic skills in designing these bags. Ms. Meera Edna Coehlo, Student Union Adviser and Ms. Anupa Baliga, Director, PG studies in Commerce were the judges. The Principal, Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty appreciated the students for taking keen interest in participating in this competition. Students distributed the bags to their teachers and to the shop keepers in their respective areas. The result is as follows:

First Prize -III B.Com(2)

Second Prize-III B.Com(1)

Third Prize – III BA

Special Prize- I BA

Objectives:

  • To create awareness on environmental protection
  • To make the students and staff aware about plastic ban and to find alternate
  • To inculcate social responsibility among the students

Outcomes:

  • Students participated enthusiastically
  • Students created awareness on ban plastic by distributing cloth bags to staff members and to the shop keepers.
