Industrial Visit 2019: Dept. of Secretarial Practice
The Department ofSecretarial Practice orgainsed an factory visit to Primacy Industries Limited,Baikampady, Mangalore on 16th February 2019. This visit helped the students to getfirsthand knowledge of the manufacturing process of different types of candlesand the safety measures. The Primacy IndustriesLtd., is one of the largest manufacturer of innovative, quality scented candlesin the world. It manufactures Fragrance Pillar Candles, jar & cup candles,ball, artificial, decorative pillar candles & travel tin candles since 2004in Mangalore, Karnataka.
Their vision is “Settingtrends in home fragrance” and the mission is to produce high quality innovativescented decorative candles at competitive prices. 80% of the employees workinghere are women. The employees get 83% subsidized food in the canteen. Freetransportation for commuting to from work is provided. The baby sittingfacility is provided to the children of their employees.
62 students accompaniedby Prof. Hemalatha (HOD) and Prof.Ranjini visited the factory. The HRManager explained the manufacturing procedure and the safety measures to thestudents.
