Extension activity: Department of PG Studies in Commerce

The Department of PG Studies in Commerce organized an extension activity to Vathsalya Dharma Ashram near Sharada Vidhyalaya as a part of curriculum on 07-02-2024.

Objective:

• To engage with elderly individuals.

A comfortable old age is the fruit of a well-invested youth. Instead of harboring somber thoughts of decline, it should inspire hope for eternal youth in a better world. With this ethos in mind, students from the Department of PG studies in Commerce Besant Women's College, Mangalore, organized an extension activity to visit an old age home. The program commenced with stage performances, followed by engaging activities planned by the students for the elderly residents. Their enthusiastic participation enriched the experience for all involved. Additionally, the students generously donated essential items to support the residents' needs.

Outcome:

• The extension activity concluded on a note of great success, fostering meaningful connections between generations.
