Industrial Visit-MCom
Department ofP.G. Studies in Commerce, Besant Women’s College, Mangaluru in association withRotract of Besant Women’s College and Rotary Club Mangalore, organized anIndustrial Visit on 26th October 2017 to Mangalore Chemicals &Fertilizers Ltd., Mangalore. The visit was organized with prior permission ofthe Principal, Besant Women’s College and guidance of Director of P.G. Studiesin Commerce,
Industrial visitpermission was granted by Mr. P.J. Pai, General Manager, HR Dept in MCFMangalore, with the co-ordination by Rtn. Vinod D’Souza, Chairman, Rotary Club,Mangalore. Forty M.Com final year students and two faculties visited MangaloreChemicals & Fertilizers Ltd, to expose the students to the factoryenvironment and to understand the working of MCF.
The studentsreached MCF premises at 10.00 am. Mr. Rajinikanth, Chief Manager, Learning andDevelopment conducted a very informative session for the students. He gave abrief introduction about the company and also showed a short movie on MCF tothe students, which gave an overall idea of what MCF is. He highlighted on theproducts manufactured, the process involved in manufacture, distribution channel, safety techniques installed in thefactory premises and also the CSR activities undertaken by the company.
The session wasconcluded with Question-Answer session, and Mr. Rajinikanth cleared all thequeries of the students. The visit came to an end at 12.30 pm.
It was a veryinformative, interesting and a successful visit. We express our gratitude toMr. P.J. Pai, General Manager, HR for giving us permission to visit theindustry, Mr. Rajinikanth for spending his valuable time for us. We also thank thePrincipal, Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty, the Director, Dr. Balaji Bhovi, and Rtn.Vinod D’Souza for their constant support and guidance.
