‘NAADA TARANGA-2018’ - Valedictory

Alva’s College, Moodabidri won the overall award in ‘NAADATARANGA-2018’ a two-day inter collegiate singing competition organized byMangalore University in association with Besant Women’s College recently.

In the two day musical competition as many as 8 differentcompetitions were held in solo and group category. The winners list is asfollows:

In Classical vocal solo competition Alva’s College Moodabidri(First prize ), SDPT First Grade College, Kateel (Second Prize), Trisha VidyaCollege of Commerce & Mgt. Udupi (Third Prize).

In Indian light vocal solo Vivekananda College Puttur (FirstPrize), St. Philomena College, Puttur (Second Prize) and Trisha Vidya College of Commerce & Mgt. Udupi (Third Prize).

In Classical instrumental percussion solo competition Alva’sCollege Moodabidri (First prize ), Poornaprajna College Udupi (Second Prize)and Trisha Vidya College of Commerce & Mgt. Udupi (Third Prize).

In classical instrumental non-percussion solo competition Alva’s College Moodabidri (First prize), Dr. Dayananda Pai–Sathish Pai G.F.G.College, Car Street (Second Prize) and SDM College Ujire(Third Prize).

In Western Vocal solo competition Padua college of Commerce &Mgt. Nanthoor (First Prize), Father Muller college of Speech and Hearing,Kankanady (Second Prize) and Poornaprajna College, Udupi (Third Prize).

In Western group song competition St. Agnes College, Mangalore(First Prize),  Father Muller college ofSpeech and Hearing, Kankanady (Second Prize) and Padua college of Commerce& Mgt. Nanthoor (Third Prize).

In Indian group song competition Vivekananda College Puttur (FirstPrize), SDM College Ujire (Second prize) and Alva’s College Moodabidri (ThirdPrize).

In Folk orchestra competition Govindadasa college Surathakal(First Prize), Alva’s College Moodabidri (Second Prize) and SDM college Ujire(Third Prize)

Student welfare director of Mangalore University, Dr. Udaya B.distributed the prizes to the winners in the valedictory function held onSaturday (18th August) appreciating the efforts of fine artsassociation of Besant Women’s College in successfully conducting the Megacompetition in which 450 students of 30 colleges belonging to under  Mangalore University  amidst inconveniences of rain and condolenceholiday.

Vice President Women’s national Education Society Sri. ManelAnnappa Nayak the president of valedictory ceremony congrartulated the winners.Principal Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty P., welcomed,  Convener Smt. Aruna Suresh read thereport  and smt. Reshma, lecturerthanked. College correspondent Sri. K. Devananda Pai was on the dais.
