Participation in the celebration of 7th Anniversary of Smart City Mission: MCom

The Department of PG Studies in Commerce participated in the celebration of 7th Anniversary of Smart City Mission “Saath Varsh Ka Harsh” organized by Mangaluru Smart City Limited from 19th June to 25th June 2022 at Mangaluru City Corporation with 10 students and 2 Faculty members.

The students visited the Control room of Mangalore Smart City where staff of Mangaluru Smart City limited enlightened the students about the operation of One touch Mangaluru app for the benefit of the citizens.

The app consists of various features like Disaster Management, Solid Waste Management, Intelligent Transport system, Incident Reporting, Tourism, Events Weather, News, Feedback and Birth and Death Certificate. Emergency numbers are also included under the icon SOS( fire, Ambulance and police Station numbers). They demonstrated the panel where grievances of citizens relating to solid waste management will be displayed and explained the process of addressing it.

Under Smart City project they have also installed Smart poles consisting of 4 CCTV Cameras and one camera that moves 360 degrees, along with announcement system and smart dial box.
