28th march TO 31th March 2023-YOUTH RED CROSS ANNUAL SPECIAL CAMP

INAGURATION

On 28th march 2023 Youth Red Cross Annual Special Camp was conducted at Olavina Halli KC Road Mangaluru.17 students has attended the camp. It was started with inaugural function. Rtn. PHF. CA Shantharam Shetty, Chairman of IRCS Dakshina Kannada District inaugurated the programme by lightning the lamp. Mrs. JC Shilpa Mulki President JCI Lalabag, Mangalore was the chief guest and conveyed her wishes to the students It was presided over by Dr Manjula KT Vice president of WNES, and Correspondent of Besant Women’s College, Sr Stella stiffny coordinator of old age home olavinahalli was the guest of honor Dr Sathish Kumar Shetty P, Principal of Besant Women’s College. Conveys his wishes to the students Professor Deekshitha T S Programme Officer welcomed the gathering. Ms. Swathi M member of Youth Red Cross proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Ms. Mariam Fathima.

DAY 1 – 28-March 2023

SESSION 1- ICE BREAKER SESSION – Mr JC Praveen Udupa

The resource person divided the students into 5 groups and explained the basic rules at the camp to be followed by the students.

SESSION 2- Red cross orientation- Mr Sacheth Suvarna

Mr Sacheth Suvarna chairman IRCS DK District Subcommittee has done red cross orientation programme to the students in his introduction part he has briefed about the red cross movement, formation, founder activities of red cross and so on

SESSION 3-FIRST AID -Mr. Mr Sacheth Suvarna

Mr Sacheth Suvarna chairman IRCS DK District subcommittee was the resource person for the session he has thought the students about First aid for wounds, bandage for wounds leg and hand fracture, CPR for heart attack, snake bite, choking was practically explained.

DAY 2 – 29th MARCH 2023

SESSION 4 Leadership Orientation programme by JC Prashanth Shetty

The students were actively participated in; leadership orientation programme and they learnt about qualities of leader, role of leader, etc. the whole session was very useful and informative.

SESSION 5 Climate change by Deekshitha TS

The YRC unit organized Climate change awareness s work shop for camp beneficiaries mrs Deekshitha Ts thought the student’s reasons of climate change and how it will be effect our environment. On the whole session was very use full.

SESSION 6 Inter-Intra communication skill by JC Shilpa

Ms JC Shilpa along with her team member Praveen Udupa taken a session of inter and intra communication skills they have also thought about how to communicate with others in a formal way and what are the barriers of communication and importance of communication

SESSION 7 – Home visit

The students of youth red cross visited various homes which is near by Olavina halli along with faculty members and students interacted with people and they informed them about the importance of Health etc. they also interacted with olavinahalli inmates. It was a good experience to YRC students

SESSION 8 – Women safety

YRC Unit organized a work shop on women safety the resource person was Karthik Kateel they thought the students about the women safety and what are the simple techniques can use to protect themselves etc… on the whole the session was use full and informative one.

SESSION 9 – Psycho-Social skill- Mr Sacheth Suvarna

Mr Sacheth Suvarna chairman IRCS DK District subcommittee was the resource person for the session. He has thought the students how to maintain our mind in diversified situation

SESSION 10- DISASTER MANAGEMENT

Disaster can be man-made or natural. In this session students learnt how to rescue their self and others from the fire disaster around them with fire safety exercise, being a Red Cross volunteer. At the end of the day it was followed by the cultural activities by the students and review of the day

VALEDICTORY - YOUTH RED CROSS ANNUAL SPECIAL CAMP

On 31ST March 2023 valedictory of Youth Red Cross Annual Special Camp at Olavina halli KC Road Mangalore . The Chief Guest was Professor Sacheth Suvarna, chairman IRCS Dakshina Kannada District subcommittee, wished the students every success in their endeavors in life. Shri Manel Annappa Nayak Precident of WNES was graced the occasion and he has appreciated the students for their actively participation in the camp. It was presided over by Dr Manjula KT Vice President of WNES and Correspondent of Besant Women’s Collage. Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty P, Principal of Besant Women’s College. Sr stella stiffny cordinator of Olavina Halli were present on this occasion. certificates were distributed to the students by the guests and collected feedbacks of the camp. Ms. Swathi M Member of Youth Red Cross welcomed the guests and Professor Deekshitha T S Programme Officer of Youth Red Cross proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Mariam Fathima
