45th Annual Athletic Meet

The 45th Annual Athletic Meet was organized by Besant Women’s college at Mangala Stadium on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.Deputy Director, District Treasury office Mr. Ramesh M, KAS was the chief guest for the program. Declaring the meet open, Mr. Ramesh M in his address to the students highlights the importance of sports and how it helps to develop physical and mental health.

WNES President Mr. Manel Annappa Nayak, Secretary Mr. Jeevandas Narayan, Vice-Secretary, and Correspondent Dr. Manjula K T motivated the students to take part in sports along with their curriculum.
The sports day commenced with a beautiful march past by the student. More than 753 students participated in the March past.

Sports Secretary Ms. Prathiksha, III B.Com, took the oath on behalf of all the participants. Principal Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty P welcomed the gathering. Physical Education director Mrs. Roopathi M proposed the vote of thanks.Overall Individual championship bagged by Ms. Manjula Mallya of I BCA. The college flag was lowered by the principal and the meet was declared closed.
