‘RIYA’ – A RAY OF HOPE TO THE DIFFERENTLY ABLED

‘Everydifferently abled child has the right to lead a healthy life. But sadlymajority of the disabled children are deprived of the same’ said Mrs. KeerthanaKumar, Founder Director of Riya Foundation at the Community Service Programmeorganized by the Department of English, Besant Women’s College at Riya HopeFarm, Kulshekhar on 26th July 2018.

Mr. AshleyFernandez, Director of Riya Foundation spoke about the tedious journey thateventually led to the opening of Riya Residential School which providescomprehensive care and special education to children with varied disabilities.

Chief GuestSri K. Devananda Pai, Correspondent of Besant Women’s College applauded theselfless service rendered by the Directors and assured help and support.

Guest ofhonour Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty P., Principal, Besant Women’s Collegeappreciated the noble task undertaken by the Directors and promisedsupport.  Generous contributions bystudents of the college were handed over to the Directors.

The studentsof the college entertained the inmates of Riya Hope Farm with a colourfulprogramme in which the children also participated with great enthusiasm.
