Visit to Sammelan Shetty’s Butterfly Park and Soans Farm at Moodbidri- Dept. of SP

The Department of Secretarial Practice organised an industrial visit to Sammelan Shetty’s Butterfly Park and Soan’s Farm Moodbidri on 28th September 2019. About 40 students from the B.Com Section accompanied by two staff Prof.Vidya Bhat and Prof.Shaila Kamath.
At Sammelan Shetty’s Butterfly park, he gave a brief intro of the types of butterflies and their food habits and also their products like Honey, key chain, Tee-shirts and other products.
At Soan’s farm the main product was Pineapple and there were other fruit juices also. Mr.Soans explained the various varieties of fruits production and their marketing activities. 
Objectives of the visit:
-To study the start-ups of Butterfly Park and Soan’s Farm.
-To learn the economic activity involved and thereafter the profit.
-In order to know about the managerial activities
Group Observation and Learning:
-There are a number of activities conducted in Soan’s Farm and Shetty’s Butterfly Park
-Proper utilisation of manpower in Soan’s Farm
-Methodical  and disciplinary  arrangement
Conclusion:
We are thankful to our Management, Principal and HOD of the Department for giving us an opportunity to improve our practical skills regarding production and marketing. We hope we get more chance to have wonderful and informative experience of visiting different industries.
