Bequest 2016

The two-day inter collegiate fest ‘Bequest 2016’ organized by Besant Women’sCollege concluded on 23rd September, Friday, in which Besant Evening Collegeemerged as a ‘overall champions’ and the ‘Runners Trophy’ was won by SriBhuvanendra College, Karkala. 15 colleges participated in different eventsunder the theme ‘UTOPIA – a journey towards perfection’.

The guest of honour Shyam Sundar Kamath, Secretary of WNES gave away thetrophies to the winners and certificates were given to all the participantsduring the valedictory ceremony.

Speaking to the audience he said, the participant students have succeededreflecting different cultures of our country. Meanwhile, they have gainedleadership qualities and contact with students of different colleges besidesthe thrill of participation and winning prizes. Smt. Rajashree Balgari, DeputyManager of Union Bank, who was on the stage said that she is fully convincedabout sponsoring one of the best programme for the students. Manel AnnappaNayak in presidential remarks expressed his appreciation about involving manycolleges in the fest. He congratulated the staff and students for their successin achieving the goals of convergence of students from different colleges tobring about friendship among them.

Sri Devenanda Pai, Correspondent, Prof. Syed Kahdar student welfare officer,student union president Apeksha Vice President Shaila Shet were on the stage.Raviraj, Dept. of the Kannada proposed the vote of thanks.
