Objective

The primary objective of participating in Vijay Diwas was to instill a sense of patriotism, gratitude, and awareness among students regarding the sacrifices made by the Indian Armed Forces. It is also remembered for being victorious in the war started by Pakistan and creating of Bangladesh. The event aimed to provide an opportunity for students to honour the valour and courage of our soldiers, fostering a spirit of respect and national pride.

The commemoration of Vijay Diwas, a solemn occasion dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of the Indian Armed Forces, was held at the War Memorial, Kadri Hills, Mangaluru. The program commenced with a floral tribute in the presence of dignitaries, members of various organizations, and citizens who gathered to pay homage.

Representing Besant Women’s College, Diya from Final BBA, a committed member of the Rangers Club, along with Prof. Latha Hebbar, the Ranger Officer, paid floral tribute at the memorial. Their participation reflected the college’s commitment to fostering values of discipline, respect, and patriotism among its students.

Due to ongoing semester examinations, other members of the Rangers Club were unable to attend the event. Despite this, the active participation of the college representatives showcased the institution’s dedication to civic responsibilities and its support for national events.
