Report on Annual General Body Meeting of Alumni Association and Felicitation Programme
The Annual General Body Meeting of the Alumni Association and Felicitation Programme for retired staff was conducted on 25th April 2026 at 2.30 p.m. in the College Auditorium. The programme was organized successfully with great enthusiasm and active participation from alumni members, staff, and guests. The event was gracefully compered by Ms. Zeena Flavia D’Souza, Vice President of the Alumni Association, who welcomed the gathering and guided the proceedings of the programme.
The programme commenced with a prayer song by Ms. Sucharitha and Ms. Pavithra, members of the Alumni Association, invoking blessings for the successful conduct of the event. This was followed by a silent prayer in remembrance of the late Ms. Sushmitha Achar, an alumni member, paying heartfelt tribute to her memory.
A warm floral welcome was extended by Ms. Sujatha P.V., President of the Alumni Association, welcoming the dignitaries and members present. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Raviprabha, member of the Alumni Association, who warmly greeted the gathering and highlighted the significance of alumni unity and contribution.
The Secretary of the Alumni Association, Ms. Prithvi M, presented the annual report of activities conducted by the association along with the statement of accounts, giving members an overview of the association’s achievements, initiatives, and financial details during the year.
A special highlight of the programme was the felicitation ceremony held in honour of retired staff members for their dedicated service and valuable contributions to the institution. The retired staff felicitated were Dr. Sathish Shetty, Former Principal; Ms. Jayashree, Lecturer, Department of Commerce; Mr. Ramakrishna, Administrative Staff; and Ms. Chandraprabha, Administrative Staff.
As a mark of appreciation, Ms. Raviprabha spoke about the invaluable contributions of Dr. Sathish Shetty and Ms. Jayashree, acknowledging their dedication and impact on the institution. Ms. Sucharitha spoke about Ms. Chandraprabha, appreciating her sincere service, while Ms. Pavithra spoke about Mr. Ramakrishna, highlighting his commitment and contribution to the administrative functioning of the college.
Dr. Manjula K.T. addressed the gathering, sharing her thoughts on the importance of alumni engagement, institutional bonding, and honouring those who have served the institution with dedication.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Sujatha P.V., President of the Alumni Association, expressing gratitude to all dignitaries, members, and participants for making the event meaningful and memorable.
This was followed by the election of new office bearers of the Alumni Association. The newly elected members are:
President – Ms. Swaroopa Shetty
Vice President – Ms. Malini Shet
Joint Secretary – Ms. Akhila
The event concluded on a cheerful note with refreshments, providing an opportunity for alumni members to reconnect and interact with one another.
The Annual General Body Meeting was a memorable occasion that celebrated service, strengthened alumni bonds, and marked the beginning of a new leadership chapter for the Alumni Association.
