VISIT TO OLDAGE HOME (HOSABELAKU): DEPARTMENT OF HOME SCIENCE

Objectives:

• To raise awareness among youngsters.
• To foster intergenerational bonding.

Besant Women’s College had organized a visit to Hosabelaku, Bailur, Karkala, by the department of Home Science on 25/10/2025. Students learnt that everyone deserves respect and support during oldage as they have contributed so much to our lives and communities. Students got to know that older people have a treasure of experiences which can guide the younger generations, if we give them the chance to share.

Outcome:

• Students got to know the last facet of life.
• Visit helped the students to bridge the gap between younger and older generation by creating mutual respect and understanding.
