Industrial visit to Udaya Steel, Manipal: Department of Commerce and Business Administration

The Department of Commerce and Business Administration organised a field visit on 18th, April, 2024 for the students of Second year B.Com and BBA students at Udaya Steel, Manipal. Prof.Syed Kahdar, Hod and dean of the Department, Prof.Jayashree, Mrs.Vidya Bhat, Mrs. Latha Hebbar and Mrs.Nayana accompanied the students

Objectives :

• Practical outlook towards the industry & requisite skills for the industry
• Industrial visits contribute to the holistic learning development of students
• Students can witness live events and activities in a business space through industrial visits.

The industry comprised of many Sections like Aluminium, Steel and Non stick items. The students were exposed to all the process, the packaging, the modern machineries used. The employees were very good and cooperated with the faculties and students

Outcomes:

• They realized that the core benefit of an industrial visit cannot be replaced by any book or syllabus.
• This also gave the students a platform to enhance their interpersonal skills.
• The students acquired to see the best practices opted by different companies for similar work.
