Educational visit to a Landscape Garden at Kottara Chowki: Environment Club

The Environment Club of Besant Women's College, in association with IQAC, organized an educational visit to a landscape garden at Kottara Chowki on February 28, 2025, at 11:45 AM. The event aimed to enhance students' awareness of sustainable gardening practices and environmental conservation.

During the visit, participants explored various aspects of landscape design, plant diversity, and eco-friendly gardening techniques. Mrs. Soujanya S Shenoy, Home Gardening Enthusiast, shared valuable insights into home gardening and the importance of greenery in urban spaces. Students actively engaged in discussions and gained practical knowledge about maintaining sustainable landscapes.

The event was an enriching experience, reinforcing the significance of environmental conservation. The students expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to learn outside the classroom setting. Students of the Environment club were accompanied by Mrs.Shaila Kamath, Convenor, Environment club. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Namratha G Pai, acknowledging the efforts of the organizers and participants.

Overall, the visit successfully fostered environmental awareness and encouraged students to contribute towards a greener future.
