Description of the Activity

A demonstration on paddy cultivation was organized for students on 26 July 2026 through the joint efforts of Lions Club Kadri Hills, Leo Club Kadri Hills, Lions Club Mulki, Leo Club Mulki, Vinaya Agricultural Society, Kolnad, and Vinaya Coconut Growers' Society. The programme aimed to provide students with practical knowledge of paddy cultivation through a live field demonstration.

A total of 22 NSS volunteers from our college actively participated in the paddy planting demonstration. The resource persons demonstrated various techniques involved in paddy cultivation, including field preparation, transplanting methods, and the importance of adopting proper agricultural practices. The session also highlighted the significance of paddy farming in ensuring food security and sustaining rural livelihoods.

Objectives of the Programme

  1. To educate students about the methods and practices involved in paddy cultivation.
  2. To create awareness about the importance of paddy cultivation and its role in agriculture.

Outcomes of the Programme

  1. Students gained practical knowledge of paddy cultivation techniques through hands-on experience.
  2. Students developed a better understanding of the challenges faced by paddy farmers and the importance of sustainable agricultural practices.
