REPORT ON DAKSHINA KANNADA DISTRICT DASARA WRESTLING COMPETITION 2025–26

Title: Dakshina Kannada District Dasara Wrestling Competition 2025–26

Date: 6–7 September 2025

Venue: Mangala Stadium, Mangaluru

Organizer: Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Dakshina Kannada District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, MY Bharat, and Nehru Yuva Kendra.

The Dakshina Kannada District Dasara Wrestling Competition 2025–26 was held at Mangala Stadium, Mangaluru, on 6th and 7th September 2025. The competition brought together athletes from various taluks of Dakshina Kannada district, providing a platform for participants to showcase their wrestling skills and competitive spirit.

The event was conducted successfully under the supervision of officials from the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports and associated organizations. Five wrestlers from our college participated in the championship and secured medals in their respective weight categories. Their outstanding performances reflected their dedication, hard work, and sportsmanship. Among them, three female wrestlers were selected to represent the district at the Mysuru Division Level Dasara Wrestling Competition, marking a significant achievement for the institution.

Results:

  1. Ms. Shakira (III BA) secured Second Place in the 65 kg category.
  2. Ms. Varshitha H T (III BA) secured Second Place in the 53 kg category.
  3. Ms. Hrulekha (III B.COM) secured Second Place in the 76 kg category.
  4. Ms. Keerthi K (III BCA) secured Third Place in the 68 kg category.
  5. Ms. Ganga B Bhovi (II BA) secured Third Place in the 53kg category.
