DEMONSTRATION OF SOAP AND PHENOL: WOMEN’S CELL

Objectives:

• To develop the entrepreneur skill.
• To promote sustainability.

Besant Women’s College had organized a demonstration of soap and phenol making, by the Women’s Cell on 30/10/2025, Mrs.Harina Rao was the resource person. Students had the opportunity to learn practical skill in soap and phenol making. Students got an idea to prepare the soap and phenol which is cheaper than the store, especially if they buy the ingredients in bulk.

Outcome:

• Students learned the skill of preparation of phenol and soap at home.
• Created awareness to promote sustainability by choosing biodegradable oil, ingredients.
