I am delighted and humbled to put forth my thoughts and action towards quality sustenance and enhancement, which is very significant to the Institution. In sync with NAAC guidelines and National Education Policy, the Besant Women’s College imparts education for life and living by upholding quality standards
The prime task of IQAC is to develop a system for consciousness, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance. It will make a vital and meaningful contribution by internalizing benchmark set by the NAAC. The First Cycle of NAAC is completed in the 2004 and the college was awarded B++ Grade. In the second cycle the college attained greater heights with grade a in 2011. In the year 2017, the third cycle, the college retained A Grade. The college is now bracing up for the Fourth cycle of Accreditation.
The IQAC is the vehicle for Ushering in quality to improvise and ensure incremental growth and sustenance operation of student council, Clubs, Cells, Association and Committees for holistic development of the students.
STRATEGIES:
- Ensuring timely, efficient and progressive performance of academic, administrative and financial tasks.
- Equitable access to and affordability of academic programmes for various sections of society (inclusive education).
- Optimization and integration of modern methods of teaching and learning.
FUNCTIONS:
- Development and application of quality benchmarks / parameters for various academic and administrative activities.
- Facilitating the creation of a learner centric environment, to adopt the required knowledge, skills and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
- Arrangement for stakeholder’s feedback responses on quality related institutional process.
- Dissemination of information on various quality parameters of higher education.
- Organization of workshops, Seminars /Webinars and Fests. on quality related themes.
- Documentation of the various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement.
- Development of Quality culture in the institution.
- Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC
- Participation in AISHE and NIRF in the survey of higher education.
