Visit to Halasu Mela (Jack Fruit Mela): Dept. of Home Science

Objectives:

• To gain knowledge on Jack Fruit Mela
• To have an idea on varieties of Jack fruit

Besant women’s college had organized a visit to Halasu Mela (Jack Fruit Mela) on 28/05/2022 by the Home Science Department

Students Visited Halasu Mela and gained a lot of information on varieties of items that we can prepare from jack fruit. Some of the items like pickle, papad, chips, salted jack fruit were displayed. Many varieties of jack fruits were also available for sale. On the whole visit was an informative one

• Students gained knowledge on Halasu Mela
• Collected a lot of information on varieties of jack fruit.
