The Department of Commerce and Business Administration organized a Session on Transitioning into Corporate Career on 15th March, 2024, in the College Auditorium, commencing at 1:30 p.m. The resource person was Mr. Girish Madla, Nature bound Sahyadri, Ankola. The programme was coordinated by Mrs.Vidya Bhat

Objectives

  • To showcase your skills, qualifications, and experience.
  • Highlighting your professional achievements and accomplishments.
  • Demonstrating your suitability for the specific job or position.
  • Attracting the attention of potential employers and recruiters.
  • Presenting yourself as a strong candidate for the desired role
  • Encouraging active participation and engagement from all group members.
  • Promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Fostering effective communication and listening abilities.
  • Enhancing teamwork and collaboration among group members.

Mr.Girish highlighted the importance of resume and gave a demo of requirements in resume. He also conducted GD in groups. In total 7 groups participated.All the students of Final year,B.Com, B.A., BBA., B.Sc, BCA participated in the programme. Ms.Sonica of III B.Com was the MC, Alshifa introduced and welcome the gathering and vote of thanks was by Ms.Pratiksha.

Outcome

  • To create a compelling document that effectively showcases your teaching experience, education, certifications, skills, and accomplishments
  • The students learnt to create a professional document that highlighting their education, skills, certifications, and accomplishment.
  • Group Discussion (GD) assessed the communication skills, critical thinking abilities, leadership qualities, and problem-solving skills of participants.

Through a GD, participants engage in a structured discussion on a given topic, express their viewpoints, listen to others, and collaborate to reach a consensus
