Visit to White Doves Psychiatric Nursing and Destitute Home :Dept. of Home Science

The Home Science Department of Besant women’s college had a visit to White Doves Psychiatric Nursing and Destitute Home, at Maroli, kulshekara, Mangalore on 9th June 2023.

White Doves is an institution with the mission to give a dignified life to the abandoned fellow beings who are living off the streets.

Mrs.Rasquinha who is the backbone of the institute worked hard to establish such a great shelter home with over 200 beds. We observed reunion of some of the destitutes where Rasquinha Madam felt happy and satisfied. Madam Rasquinha is the great motivator and inspiration to all the youngsters.

The students of BSc Home Science performed different types of activities which included games, singing and dancing. On the whole we can say that students of BSc Home Science had the opportunity to experience a different facet of life.
