Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Transforming Classrooms: IQAC

On July 27, 2025, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell organized the Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Transforming Classrooms: An Empathetic Approach in Teaching and Learning for all teachers. Dr. Manjula K.T., vice president of the Women's National Educational Society, presided over the program. Dr Charles V Furtado, Professor of English and Director, admin, Block St, Aloysius Deemed to be University was the resource person of the programme

Dr. Charles V. Furtado instructs the teachers through effective training. It improves the instructor's comprehension of effective classroom management. Dr. Parashuram G. Malage, principal of Besant Evening College, and Dr. Praveen Kumar K.C., principal of Besant Women's College, attended the presentation.

Objectives of the Programme:

  1. To instruct teachers on how to cultivate an empathic teaching style
  2. To instruct teachers on how to use an empathic approach in the classroom

Outcome of the Programme:

  1. Participants discovered the value of developing traits like patience and empathy, among others.
  2. New perspectives on classroom transformation were presented.
