Environmental Day: Youth Red Cross

On June 5, 2024 The Youth Red Cross Association of Besant women’s college actively participated in environment day celebrations at Vanitha park, During the event, the volunteers from Besant women’s college engaged in planting new plants and celebrated the birthday of a plant they had planted the previous year the students were actively involved in both cleaning C planting processes, contributing significantly to the upkeep C beautification of Vanitha park.

OBJECTIVES

• To raise awareness among students and the community. About the Importance of environmental conservation C sustainable practices
• To engage students in hands-on activities such as planting C cleaning to Instill a sense of responsibility towards the environment.

OUTCOME

Participants gained a deeper understanding of environmental issues C the Importance of their Individual contribution to environmental conservation; the hands-on activities fostered a Greater sense of responsibility C ownership among students a Green Environment.
