World Blood Donors Day: Youth Red Cross
On 14th June, the Indian Red Cross Society's Dakshina branch in Mangalore organized an event to commemorate World Blood Donor Day. The event emphasized the crucial importance of blood donation through a series of speeches, highlighting the lifesaving impact of regular blood donations and the positive difference it makes in emergency healthcare. A significant highlight was the enthusiastic participation of volunteers from Besant Women's College, who actively engaged in the program. Their involvement not only demonstrated their commitment to community service but also helped in spreading awareness about the vital need for more blood donors. The event successfully brought together various members of the community, fostering a spirit of generosity and solidarity towards the cause of saving lives through blood donation.
