Workshop on “Research Skill for Youth Empowerment”
The Research and Development cell of college in Association withMangalore University Commerce Teachers Association (MUCTA) organized anintercollegiate workshop on “Research Skill for Youth Empowerment” on 15thSeptember 2018. The Workshop was inaugurated by Smt. Bhavani Prabhu, DGM, ShriSaraswathi Credit Souharda Sahakari Limited, Puttur. In her speech she said, “ Thesekind of program help in training the young in research aspect of any field”. Chief Guest Shri Chittaranjan Bolar, Presidentof Athmashakthi Multi-purpose Co-operative Society Ltd., Mangaluru said “It'seasy to spoil any work and hard to rebuild it. We have the responsibility todevelop our personality, so read newspapers and regular footnotes as much aspossible to develop your knowledge”.
Guests of honour ShriDevanand Pai, Correspondent of Besant Women’s college, Shri P. Balakrishna Pai, President (MUCTA),Prof. Kukke Subrahmanyeshwara College, DK, Sri Sathish Bhat, Correspondent of Besant English Medium School and Convenor of R&D cell Dr. Sudha K were present on the dais.
125 Students from various colleges in and around Mangaluruparticipated in the programme. Resource persons for two sessions were Dr.A. P Achar, Dean, Corporate Programme, Justice K. S. Hegde Institute of Management,Nitte and Dr. Vishala B. K , General Secretary AMUCT, Joint Secretary FUCTAK,Bangalore, Sel. Gr. Librarian, St. Agnes College (Autonomous).
In valedictory programme Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty, PrincipalBesant Women’s College distributed certificate to the participants. The feedbackcollected by participants gives an impression that programme was well received.
