Workshop on Tally Prime (GST): Department of Commerce and Business Administration

A workshop (orientation session) was organized for the final year B.Com and BBA students to provide insights into the value-added courses offered by Sharadha Academy. The resource team from the Academy briefed the sudents about the Tally Prime with GST course offered in collaboration with THM.

During the session, the faculty members of Sharadha Academy highlighted the importance of accounting software skills in the modern business world and explained how proficiency in Tally Prime with GST enhances employability and practical understanding of taxation and business transactions.

The program was presided over by Dr. Praveen Kumar K.C., Principal, Besant Women’s College. The event was coordinated by Ms. Shaila Kamath (Convenor) and Prof. S. Syed Kahdar (Dean & HOD of Commerce and Business Administration), with active support from Kavya, Student Secretary, III B.Com.

Objectives:

  1. To create awareness among final year B.Com and BBA students about the professional courses offered by Sharadha Academy in collaboration with THM.
  2. To familiarize students with the features and practical applications of Tally Prime with GST for enhancing accounting and taxation skills.

Outcomes:

  1. Students gained a clear understanding of the course structure, benefits, and career relevance of Tally Prime with GST certification.
  2. The session motivated students to enroll in the program to strengthen their practical knowledge and employability in the finance and business sectors.
