46th Annual Athletic Meet

The 46th Annual Athletic Meet was organized by the Department of Physical Education at Mangala Stadium on Thursday, May 09, 2024. Mrs. Babitha Shetty, National Level Athlete & Senior Manager at Odiyoor Shree Vividhoddesha Sowhardha Sahakari Ltd, was the chief guest for the program. Declaring the meet open, Mrs. Babitha Shetty in her address to the students highlights the importance of sports and how it helps to develop physical and mental health. Further she said that, "Don't get excited when you win, don't get depressed when you lose, and develop the courage to accept both defeat and victory equally.

WNES President Mr. Manel Annappa Nayak, Secretary Mr. Jeevandas Narayan, Vice-Secretary, and Correspondent Dr. Manjula K T motivated the students to take part in sports along with their curriculum.
The sports day commenced with a beautiful march past by the student. More than 700 students participated in the March past.

Sports Secretary Ms. Shrimathi, III B.Com, took the oath on behalf of all the participants. Ms. Nireeksha, Lecturer, welcomed the gathering. The Principal Dr. Praveen Kumar K C, given the guest introduction and Physical Education director Mrs. Roopathi M proposed the vote of thanks. Overall Individual championship bagged by Ms. Manjula Mallya of II BCA. The college flag was lowered by the principal and the meet was declared closed.
