The Student Union Council of Besant Women’s College organized a Teacher's Day Celebration on 05th September 2024 at 11.00 AM in the College Auditorium. The event was held to honor and express gratitude to the teachers for their hard work, dedication, and the impact they have on students' lives.

The theme of this year’s Teacher's Day celebration was "Yellow." The color yellow symbolizes warmth, positivity, and respect, which perfectly reflected the sentiment of the event. In a delightful surprise, officials from Canara Bank made an unexpected visit to the event. They took the opportunity to wish the teachers and acknowledge their contributions, adding a special touch to the celebration.

The event was hosted by the Vice President of the Student Union Council, Ms. Ashila Hazar, who did an excellent job of guiding the event smoothly and ensuring its success. The event commenced with an introductory speech by the Principal, Dr. Praveen K. C, followed by the Union Advisor, Prof. Ranjini. Both expressed their gratitude toward the students for organizing the event and thanked the teachers for their invaluable contributions.

Cultural Program: A series of performances by students, including dances, skits, and songs, were dedicated to celebrating the teachers. All Union student members actively involved themselves in the planning and execution of these activities, ensuring that the fun games and interactive sessions were well-organized and enjoyable for everyone.

Teachers were invited on stage for fun games and activities, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and joy.

Objectives:

  • To commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, a philosopher, teacher, and the second President of India.
  • To foster a culture of respect and appreciation for teachers, acknowledging their hard work and dedication.

Outcomes:

  • Students are given an opportunity to express their gratitude and acknowledge the hard work of their teachers, fostering a deeper sense of respect.
