Report on the Talk on "Basics of Research"

The Department of Commerce and Business Administration at Besant Women’s College organized a talk on the "Basics of Research" on 20th November 2024 at 2:30 PM in the AV Room. The session aimed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of research fundamentals, methodologies, and their applications in the field of commerce and business administration.

Objective:

The primary objective of this session was to introduce students to the basics of research, including the research process, methodologies, and techniques. The talk aimed to equip students with the essential knowledge required to conduct academic research and understand its significance in both academic and professional contexts. By fostering a deeper understanding of research, the session sought to inspire students to apply these concepts in their future projects and career endeavors.

Resource Person:

The resource person for the session was Dr. Shaini Naveen, Assistant Professor at SDM PG Centre of Management Studies and Research, Mangalore. Dr. Naveen shared valuable insights on the importance of research in academic and professional contexts, explaining key concepts such as research design, data collection methods, and analysis techniques. The talk also covered the significance of ethical considerations in research and the role of research in decision-making processes.

Academic Impact:
