Student Union Inauguration 2023-24

Besant Women’s College, Mangalore, inaugurated its Student Union for the academic year 2023-2024 on 18th October 2023. The programme was held at the College Auditorium at 2.00 pm.

Presidential Address

The programme was presided over by Sri Manel Annappa Nayak, President of Women’s National Education Society (WNES). Sri Nayak emphasized the importance of student unions in promoting student welfare and development.

Chief Guest

Ms. Komal Prabhu, Managing Director of Maharaja Family Restaurant, was the chief guest of the programme. Ms. Prabhu shared her experiences as a successful entrepreneur and inspired the students to pursue their passions and dreams.

Guest of Honour

Prof. Rajshekar Hebbar, Administrative Officer of Besant Group of Institutions, was the guest of honour. Prof. Hebbar highlighted the importance of student unions in promoting student leadership and development.

Inauguration of Student Union

The Student Union was inaugurated by lighting the lamp, followed by the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Student Union Council members.

Ms. Shobhitha T S, Students’ Welfare Officer, highlighted the role of the Student Union in promoting student activities and events.
