Besant women'sCollege Student Union Council organised the annual Excursion to Madikeri andMysore on 25th December 2017 to 27th December 2017. Faculty members, Union Councilmembers and students from final year classes participated in the tour programme.Eighty two students were accompanied by Union welfare officer Dr Meenakshi Kand faculty members Ms Shirly Rani and Ms Shobhitha .The team had awonderful experience for two days. The destinations were Madikeri and Mysore.The picturesque beauty of Western Ghats and scenic views of the valley wasincredible. The team visited famous Raja seat, Kaveri Nisargadama and theNamdroling Nyingmapa Monastery and Golden temple at Kushalanagara. It was anunforgettable experience for all. Students got the opportunity to visit Mysorepalace campus and the visit to the Exhibition grounds where they experiencedthe artifacts prepared by artisans from different parts and states of India. Theteam also visited Sri Chamundeshwari temple at Nandi Gudda, Mysore. Students hadthrilling experience at GRS Water Park, Mysore. The team was led by Collegeunion President Ms Kavyashree and Secretary Ms Nisha.
