SHORT FILM DOODLEBUG BY CHISTOPHER NOLAN : SPEAKER CLUB

A discussion on the film Doodlebug, which gave thestudents an opportunity to express their point of view about it, which wasindeed an experience for each one. It is a 1997 short psychological thrillerfilm. The story is about a man, in a filthy apartment. He is anxious, trying tokill a small bug like creature that is scurrying on the floor. It is laterrevealed in the movie that the bug resembles a miniature version of himself.

Speaker's Clubprovided us with great opportunities to exercise our creative thoughts. We weregiven topics and shown movie clips that were a little unconventional and thatrose different perspectives and led us to to embrace new ideas andnotions. We practiced on howwe could convey these thoughts that filled our minds on these topics in amannerly fashion, to the public. Speaker's Club gaveus the opportunity to be brave in speaking out, because, in speaker's club therewas no such thing as a wrong answer or a wrong opinion which helped us inmagnanimous confidence building. Speaker's Club wasa thriple threat, where our confidence was built, our public speaking skillswere strengthened and our creative thoughts and ideologies were explored. We dwelled ondiscussions like that of the Psyche of a criminal, the world order and whereour perception lies on whats wrong and right. We had various discussions onother topics which revived my passion for Art and Literature. It was a wonderfulexperience for me and my peers and I'd be readily willing to participate in theclub next year as well.
