Session on Marketing Skills for the students of Final year : Placement Cell
The Placement Cell and the Career Guidance Cell of Besant Women’s College organised a session on Marketing Skills for the students of Final year – B.Com, B.Sc, BBA BCA and BA. The programme was coordinated by Mrs.Vidya Bhat Placement Cell Officer and Ms.Nayana Convenor Career Guidance. Around 100 students were present for the programme. It was held on December 3, 2022 in the college auditorium.
Objectives
- Identify core concepts of marketing.
- Ability to collect, process, and analyze consumer and market data to make informed decisions.
- Organize and explain processes involved in the preparation of marketing strategies and plans
- Explain social responsibility and ethics, as they pertain to marketing.
The students were given tasks of launching their products. They introduced their products and questions were asked based on their products. They had to explain the features of the products along with their marketing strategies.
Outcomes
- Design and organise the marketing mix and its constituent parts
- Produce a marketing plan.
- Analyse consumer decision-making processes using buyer behaviour principles.
- Generate and utilise critical and creative thinking skills.
An excellent feedback from the students was collected. Ms.Shaila Kamath and Mr.Praveen Kamath were also present for the programme.
