Preparation of Vanilla Cake and Oreo Cake: Dept. of Home Science & Women’s cell
Besant women’s college, had organized a demonstration on preparation of Vanilla Cake and Oreo Cake by the Department of Home Science in association with Women’s cell on 10/12/2022.
Mrs.Prathibha Madam trained the students in preparation of Vanilla cake by explaining and demonstrating with the recipe. MS. Deepthi of 2nd year Bsc.Homescience demonstrated the preparation of Oreo Cake. Students gained knowledge on Cake preparation and also enjoyed the Session.
PROCEDURE
- VANILLA SPONGE CAKE
Margarine | 200gm |
Powdered sugar | 200gm |
Maida | 200gm |
Eggs | 250gm |
Baking powder | 4gm |
Vanilla essence | 5ml |
Choco chips (optional) | 20gm |
Method
- Cream the margarine, add 5 ml of vanilla essence to it
- Add sugar powder and continue creaming
- Add eggs one by one to avoid curdling
- Add sifted Maida with baking powder
- Add Choco chips and mix well
- Grease and line the cake tray. Uniformly distribute the batter.
- Bake at 180°C for 25 to 30 minute
2.OREO CAKE
Oreo biscuits | 3 packs |
Milk | 1 cup |
Method
- Take a pack of Oreo biscuits and add 1/4 cup of milk to it .
- Crush the Oreo and make a batter.
- Continue the same for the other two packs.
- Pour the batter to a greased borosil bowl.
- Microwave for 8 minutes.
- The cake is ready to serve.
