Orientation programme 2023-24: Department of PG studies in Commerce

The Department of PG studies in Commerce organised an orientation programme for the first-year students on 12th October, 2023. The programme began with invoking the blessings of the almighty followed by Principal Dr. Praveen Kumar K C extending a cordial welcome to the Chief Guest and the students. The Chief guest Prof. Rajashekhar Hebbar, Administrative Officer, Besant Group of Institutions, the Principal, HOD and the faculty members together declared the academic year open by lighting the lamp. The Chief guest, Prof. Rajashekhar Hebbar motivated the students to read books and make visiting the library a habit. He also wished them a joyful two years in campus.

Ms. Anupa Baliga, HOD of Department of PG studies in Commerce introduced the faculty members of the department and briefed the students about the syllabus, credit, project in connection with the course. Mrs. Sangeetha Nayak briefed the students about the various activities which keeps the department in sync with the academics. Mrs. Devika Anand proposed the vote of thanks and Ms. Indulekha V S compered the program.

The programme enlightened the students’ role and responsibilities at the postgraduate level. It enabled the students to know the various aspects of academic and co-curricular activities of the courses.
