Onam Celebration - 2023-24

Besant Women’s College, Mangalore, celebrated Onam Day on 29th August 2023, with great enthusiasm and fervor. The Students’ Union Council organized the event, which was held at the College Auditorium at 9:30 am.

Presidential Address

The programme was presided over by Principal Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty, who emphasized the importance of cultural festivals in promoting unity and harmony among students.

Chief Guest

Dr. Manjula KT, Vice President of Women’s National Education Society (WNES) and Correspondent of Besant Women’s College, was the chief guest of the programme. Dr. Manjula KT’s presence added significance to the event, and her address highlighted the significance of Onam festival in Kerala’s culture.

Cultural Programmes

The students of the college presented a variety of cultural programmes, including traditional Kerala dances, songs, and skits. The programmes were well-received by the audience, and showcased the students’ talents and creativity.
