National level Webinar on the topic 'Protect Breast Feeding – A message for the mother to be' : Dept. of Home Science & Inner Wheel Club of Mangalore North

In connection with the celebration of WorldBreast Feeding Week the Department of Home Science, Besant Women’s College,Mangalore in association with Inner Wheel Club of Mangalore North had organizeda National level webinar on the topic “Protect Breast Feeding – A message for themother to be “.

Mrs. Mithra Prabu visiting faculty at Zulekhaand Unity Nursing College, Mangalore and Diet Consultant was the recourseperson.

Madam Mithra Prabhu stressed on feeding thecolostrum (which is the first milk after delivery), she also said it is aliquid gold. She also stressed to have breast feeding friendly society. 

Nearby 200 virtual participants took thebenefit of the webinar from  all parts ofthe country.

Dr. Bharathi Prakash, Head of MicrobiologyDepartment, University College, Hampankatta, Mangalore and also the Presidentof Inner Wheel Club of Mangalore North, introduced the resource person and alsoexplained the services rendered by Inner wheel club of Mangalore North.

Sri. K. Devananda Pai, Secretary, Women’sNational Education Society and Correspondent of Besant Women’s College wishedthe webinar a grand success.
