Internship at Wenlock Hospital: Youth Red Cross

The Youth Red Cross Association of Besant Women’s College organized an internship program at Wenlock Hospital from February 26 to March 2, 2024. During this period, Youth Red Cross volunteers actively participated in various activities aimed at assisting patients and gaining practical experience in healthcare services.

The students engaged in tasks such as helping patients by transporting them in wheelchairs and trolleys. They also worked in different hospital departments, including Casualty, Entrance, Ultrasound, ECG, and Orthopedics, among others.

This selfless service allowed the students to understand the challenges faced by people in need and develop empathy. It also provided them with a hands-on opportunity to analyze real-world healthcare scenarios and better understand the functioning of a hospital.

The Internship proved to be a valuable learning experience for the

students, who actively and enthusiastically participated in all assigned tasks.
