International Women’s Day

Besant women’s college and Aghor group jointly had organized international women’s day 2024 in association with Women’s cell on 09/03/2024. It was supposed to inaugurated by Mr. Mullai Muhilan, DC, DK, Mangalore, but because of his busy schedule he could not join us.

Smt. Sanath Shekar, Managing Director AGHOR GROUP, Mangalore inaugurated the event. Mr. Ivan D’Souza, EC. MLC, Govt of Karnataka, Mrs. Geetha Kulkarni, ACP, CCB Mangalore city and Mrs. Asha Nayak, Senior Advocate were the chief guests. The program was presided by Mr. Manel Annappa Nayak, President WNES, Mangalore. Mr. Prasad Shet and Mrs. Shanaya Shet, S.L Shet Diamond House, Ladyhill were present as guests for the program. As a resource person Dr. Hema Mallya, Gynecologist, addressed the students regarding women’s health specifically on menstrual cycle and Mr. Manohar Babu M, Senior Trainer, TZMO Indian South Pvt. Ltd addressed on variations in Bella sanitary pads and why they are better to use. Dr. Manjula K. T, Vice President/Correspondent BWC, Prof. Rajshekhar Hebbar. C, Administrative Officer, Besant Group of Institutions and Dr. Praveen Kumar KC, Principal Besant Women’s College, Mangalore were also present. The event was co-sponsored by SL Shet Diamond House Ladyhill and powered by Bella, with B Plus Unisex Salon as the associate partner. Additional support was provided by Pon Pon Sweets, while Vas Bakery served as the hospitality partner. Bryan Vas acted as the sports partner, and Olympic Sports Apparel partnered with MS Sportswear. The entire program was meticulously organized by Besant Group of Institutions jointly with Aghor Group and Mangalore Meri Jaan serving as the social media partner. The media partners for the event included Daijiworld, Mangalore Beat, and Jayakirana, with Sajith overseeing the media coverage. The collaborative efforts of these partners made the International Women’s Day celebration a memorable and inclusive event at Besant Women’s College.
