“INNOVARIOUS – 2018”

Modern day business is a global affair.  With fast technological changes the globe has turned into a village opening up countless opportunities and challenges for the upcoming generation of entrepreneurs.  An ability to think analytically, learning operation of new technological break-throughs can connect new generation entrepreneurs to whole of the world. To be in the picture of business one must develop efficiency and persistence a dedicated businessman only can achieve higher benchmarks said Shri. Annappa Pai, Director, Ace Foods Private Limited, Mangalore. 

He spoke after  inaugurating a National Conference on “Youth Entrepreneurship in Current Competitive Arena  “INNOVARIOUS – 2018” organised by the Department of Post Graduate Studies in Commerce in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Besant Women’s College  on Wednesday, 31st October 2018 in college auditorium.  

Shri. Mithun Bhat Kakunje, Director Kakunje Group of Companies, Mangalore,  in his keynote address elaborated upon the importance of conceiving an idea, incubating it and hatching  a new project which is workable and striving for its success. He said, the comfort zones when reached cause stagnancy in business. Hence, they must be broken to achieve new heights. Doing something which the heart likes is the surest way to achieve success and happiness he added. 

Shri Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, President W.N.E.S  in his presidential speech said, an entrepreneur leads and directs his team,  builds their capacity and inspires the subordinates,  turns various resources into usable products and possibilities, creates comfortable life for himself and the society. An entrepreneur sets objectives for oneself and materialises it, besides supporting the people around and whole of the country, he called the participants of the conference to make full use of the sessions and develop into ideal entrepreneurs of tomorrow.   Prof. Anupa Baliga, convenor of the conference briefed on theme of the seminar. Shri K. Devananda Pai, Secretary of W.N.E.S. and Correspondent of Besant Women’s College and Dr. Praveen Kumar K.C.  Dean, Dept. of Commerce and IQAC head wished well for the programme. Dr. Sathish Kumar Shetty P., Principal of the College welcomed. Students Ms. Surabhi thanked and Ms. Anusha Prabhu compeered.  

The first session ‘Technical sessions on Entrepreneurial norms and skills for youth’ was addressed by Sri. Kumble Narasimha Prabhu, M.D., Kumble Solar Energy Private Ltd., and the second  ‘Youth entrepreneurship : Opportunities and challenges’ was addressed by Mrs. Rithu Chabria Shah, Co-Founder, Maniac Unisex Clothing - Manipal and Dehradun. 77 papers were presented by the delegates on the sub topic related to the subject of the conference.
