DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY
An industrial visit to ACE Foods Pvt. Ltd Ganjimutt was held successfully organized by the department of B.Sc FND on Saturday 18/05/2024 .Thirty students and three faculties visited the industry to understand the food production ,packaging and quality analysis takes place
The visit began at 11 AM with a warm welcome by the company's representatives. The students and staff were given a brief introduction about Ace Foods Pvt Limited, its history, and its journey in the food industry. The company's commitment to maintaining high- quality standards and ensuring customer satisfaction was emphasized.
The students were then taken on a guided tour of the manufacturing facility. The visit started with the raw material storage area, where they learned about the careful selection and quality testing of ingredients used in namkeen production. The company representative
explained the importance of sourcing fresh and locally-sourced ingredients to ensure the best taste and quality.
Next, the students were shown the production line for potato wafers. They observed the process of washing, slicing, frying, seasoning, and packaging. The staff explained the temperature and time control during frying to ensure crispiness and uniformity of the wafers. Students were impressed by the level of automation and hygiene maintained in the production area.
The visit then continued to the banana chips production section. The students witnessed the peeling, slicing, frying, and seasoning processes. The staff also highlighted the specific challenges involved in producing banana chips due to the variations in raw banana quality.
