Guest Lecture on Cyber Security-2022: Dept. of BCA

On February 23, 2022, A programme on Cybersecurity was conducted by the Redteam Hacker Academy.

Mr. Robert J and Ms. Asha M were the resource persons. They spoke about the threats involved in having a weak password. The also practically demonstrated how to identify the secret and non-secure websites. A small presentation was made on the cybercrime such as phishing, identity theft, time bombs and malwares.

The students were advised on how they can keep themselves safe on the internet.

The programme was attended by the students of 1st and 2nd year BCA, B.SC final year and the students of Data Processing.

The programme was convened by Mr. Gopalkrishna Raikar, HoD, BCA & B.Sc. The students were motivated to attend the programme by Ms. Savithri Rao, HoD – Data Processing.

Ms. Rashmi 2nd BCA was the MC of the programme.

Mr. Ravinder Murthy, Department of Computer Science & Application introduced the Resource persons to the gathering.

Ms. Naseera S spoke on the theme of the programme.

Outcome of the Programme: The students understood the importance of being safe while browsing and be aware of other ethical factors.
