The Besant Institutions celebrated Founder’s Day on October 1, 2024, in honor of Dr. Annie Besant's birth anniversary at the Besant Women’s College Auditorium. This event recognized Dr. Besant's invaluable contributions to education and women's rights. The program commenced with the Institution Anthem. Following this, management members, heads of institutions, and class representatives offered floral tributes to the statue of Dr. Annie Besant, reflecting their respect and gratitude for her enduring legacy. Mrs. Rajeshwari, a Music Teacher from Besant Kannada Medium School, hosted the event, ensuring its smooth flow.

The Chief Guest, Sri. Manel Annappa Nayak, President of the Women’s National Education Society, delivered a keynote address, paying tribute to Dr. Besant’s efforts in championing education for all, particularly women. His inspiring speech resonated with the audience, emphasizing the continued relevance of her vision in today's world. Following Sri. Nayak's address, Suresh Pai, the newly appointed Secretary of WNES, delivered his speech. He expressed that the legacy of the Besant Institutions reflects her magnificent contributions to education and women's empowerment, reinforcing the importance of continuing her mission. During the event, members of the WNES honored the rank holders from Besant Women’s College who achieved academic excellence in the Mangalore University examinations:

Khadeejath Fareen Kunhi - 1st Rank in B.Sc. Home Science, and

Shayina - 2nd Rank in B.Sc. Home Science. (introduced by Prof. Gayathri Kumari, Dean and Head of the Department of Home Science)

Deepali - 6th Rank in B.A. (introduced by Prof. Preetha Bhandary, Dean of Languages and Head of the Department of English)

Dr. Manjula K.T., Correspondent and Vice President of WNES, along with Dr. Praveen K.C., Principal of Besant Women’s College, honored the rank holders, celebrating their remarkable achievements as a testament to the college’s commitment to academic excellence. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Nayak Rupashing G., Principal of Besant PU College. He extended his gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, staff, students, and all attendees for their contributions to the event's success.
