Extension activity for the students of Government school: Department of PG Studies in Commerce

International Literacy day is observed on 8th September every year. In connection to this, the department of PG studies in commerce had conducted an extension activity for the students of Government school, Bokkapatna on 7th September 2018. The purpose of the activity was to instil importance of higher education among the students of 1st to 7th standard.

The activity began with the formal function in which two students of M.com highlighted importance of the day. The school students were divided into two groups, 1st std to 4th std and 5th std to 7th std.

Activities like riddles, backward counting, memory games and tables were conducted for the school students. Students were also motivated to showcase their talents. To inculcate the moral values amongst students videos related to teamwork and unity were displayed.

The activity ended with the distribution of the books and pencil cases to the school students. This was followed by planting of the saplings by both M.com and school students within the school premises.
