Program outcome: The EDP Cell organized a workshop on Aari work blouse design, conducted by Ms.Kavya (Dept. of Chemistry). The event aimed to introduce participants to the intricate art of Aari embroidery, a traditional and popular technique in blouse design. Ms.Kavya, an expert in Aari work, began the session with a brief history and cultural significance of Aari embroidery. She then demonstrated various Aari stitching techniques and showcased different blouse designs. The workshop also covered the business aspects of Aari work, including sourcing materials, pricing strategies and marketing tips for Aari blouse designs. Participants acquired new skills in Aari embroidery and increased confidence in starting their own Aari blouse business.
